A word from the staff and our lock down celebrations!
A final note from fellow parents who are also teachers….
Everyone is having to adapt to a very different way of working. We all have good days and bad days and so do our children. It is not easy not knowing how long we’ll need to stay at home and not having the answers to all of the questions and worries that our children might have. But we are all in this together. Just do your best. No one is going to criticise you for what you try to do to help your child learn at home. Don’t try to recreate a school day at home - take it easy and be kind to yourself and your children. Value the unique learning opportunities that being at home offers (what is the most space efficient way to stack the dishwasher?) and try to create happy memories for you and your child during this time. Stay in touch with your friends and loved ones and ask for help when you need it. Try not to read too much news and remember that people often present the very best version of themselves on their best day on social media...they’ll have bad days or even weeks too.
