Su Carey
Our names are Su Carey and Faye Poynter. We are the Co-headteachers of West Berry Federation. As a staff our shared vision is for every child to become a successful, independent, resilient, lifelong learner and a responsible member of the community. We aim to teach life skills to enable our children to not only achieve at school, but beyond.
We are always happy for people to come and visit our schools, just call the office to make an appointment.
Faye Poynter
Meet our great team!
Sophie is a classroom assistant in Pine and Beech Class. She also runs the Breakfast and After School Club at Berrynarbor.
Hilary is the Kitchen Manager at West Down.
Julie is our Pastoral Co-Ordinator at Berrynarbor. She also works in Aspen class.
Rachel is one of the teachers in Cherry Class.
Carole is one of the teachers in Maple Class.
Sam teaches across the Federation. She teaches in Beech Class and Cherry Class.
Sarah teaches Willow Class in West Down.
Michele is the Pre-school Leader in Cherry Class.
Christina provides individual music lessons and runs the school choir at Berrynarbor.
Sarah is a teaching assistant at Berrynarbor. She also teachers Spanish across the Federation.
Lucy teaches Maple Class. She is also our SENDCo.
Sadie is a teaching assistant at West Down.
Trefor teaches Pine Class at Berrynarbor school.
Cassie works as a meal time assistant and teaching assistant.
Lianne is a teaching assistant and works across the federation.
Louise teaches History and Geography across the Federation.
Paul Newell is one of our Higher Level Teaching Assistants. He mostly works in Maple Class.
Catherine teaches in Alder Class.
Louise works as a Teaching Assistant in Oak Class.
Louise is our Business Manager and leads our Admin team.
Michelle is a classroom assistant.
Ellie is a teaching assistant. She works mostly at Berrynarbor.
Tim teaches in Alder * Oak Class as well as teaching Computing across the Federation.
Warren is a Teaching Assistant in Cherry Class.
Jane is part of our Admin team and works in the West Down office.
Anna is part of our Admin team and works at West Down.
Jade is the class teacher in Beech at Berrynarbor.
Jo is our Personnel Officer.
Susy helps at lunchtimes at Berrynarbor school.
Isobel is one of our Oak class teachers and our Art Specialist across the federation.
Sarah is a learning support assistant and works across both schools.
Mark is Berrynarbor's Caretaker.
